How does the Inbox work?
Triage the email that needs a reply — read, snooze, mark done, reply, and attach threads to contacts.
The Inbox is where you triage email across all your conversations: what needs a reply, in one place. It fills from your connected mailbox.
- Triage each thread. Open a thread to read it, then snooze it to a wake time, mark it done, or reply inline — without leaving the app.
- Filter and search. Switch between Open, Snoozed, Done, and Unread, or search across subjects, message text, and senders.
- Attach to a contact. A thread that arrived without a matching contact shows an "Attach to contact" picker; once linked, it appears on that contact's timeline.
Reading a message here marks it read here — it doesn't change Gmail. The Inbox keeps its own read, snooze, and done state, so triaging in the gallery never rewrites your mailbox.
Your Inbox is private to you: colleagues in the same gallery can't see or search your conversations.
