Migrate from Arternal

Bring your Arternal works over — we untangle the status list for you.

Why it’s a clean move

Arternal keeps one status list that mixes legal ownership, holds, and invoice stage together. We keep those as separate fields, which is what lets you report cleanly on each.

Our Arternal preset carries a translation table that splits that single list back out — so an overloaded Arternal status arrives as the right ownership and availability values on our side.

Export from Arternal

Get your data out — then bring the file to our import wizard.

  1. Export your works from Arternal to CSV.
  2. Include the catalog number and price columns — those anchor the mapping.
  3. Bring image URLs if your export includes them; we fetch and re-host each one.

What our preset maps

You confirm every column before anything commits — nothing is guessed silently.

  • Arternal's single status list → split across our ownership and availability fields via a built-in lookup.
  • Editions come across as first-class, grouped under their parent work.
  • Catalog number, price, discount, medium, and dimensions auto-map from the importer's field names.
  • Anything the lookup can't place is surfaced for review before commit — never guessed silently.

Good to know

The honest edges — small things worth a look so nothing surprises you.

  • Arternal leans on PDF output — make sure you pull the CSV export, not a PDF, for the wizard.
  • Custom statuses you invented in Arternal land in the review step for you to place, since the lookup only knows the standard vocabulary.
