Invoice (art sale)
The sale document requesting payment for a work, carrying the details that later prove the transaction.
An art-sale invoice does double duty: it collects payment now, and it becomes provenance later — the durable record of what sold, to whom, when, for how much. Details matter: full cataloguing of the work, terms, and taxes.
Modern practice pairs the document with a hosted payment link (card or transfer) so collectors pay without a phone call, and open-tracking so the gallery knows the invoice landed.
