Art fair

A time-boxed commercial event where galleries exhibit and sell from booths — a major sales and logistics moment.

Fairs compress a season of collector traffic into days: a booth, a curated selection, shipping in both directions, and a pace of conversations that outruns note-taking. For many galleries fairs drive a large share of annual sales.

Operationally a fair is an inventory event (what's going, where it is, what returns), a CRM event (who came, what they asked about), and a sales event (offers and invoices cut on the spot) — which is why fair workflows stress every system a gallery runs.
